suggestions?
alright guys, i just got some new rubber about 2 months ago, they grip like no other, but... they have caused my clutch to start slipping on the 1st-2nd shift, used to it would just spin on the old tires, but now it's makin the clutch slip really bad. so i'm asking the experts, i want a clutch that will not slip, but won't make my left leg 3846658 times bigger than my right lol, any suggestions?? i'm kinda liking the Spec 3+ or an Exedy, i want a light weight flywheel as well, thanks in advance

are you positive it's the clutch slipping, and not the tires actually spinning instead of hopping? happened when i changed tires a few times, i kept thinking my clutch went out till i realized the new tires don't hop, they just spin. happened anywhere up to about 70.
I had the SPEC Stage 3+ and SPEC flywheel and I was very happy with it. The pedal feel was as easy as stock. I would recommend it. But I hear great things about the Exedy. NOBODY!! had them in stock for months when I wanted one so that why I ended up getting the SPEC. Either way you can't go wrong IMO. The Exedy comes with a lighter flywheel.
ok that's what threw me off is it said it was steel and i just figured it was prolly same as stock, oh and should i order a new slave cylider and throw out bearing? if so where do i go to find some of them besides the stealership?
I'm not positive. I just reused the factory ones. Intense Racing installed my clutch and flywheel. They didn't ask me if I had new ones or suggest that I buy new ones so I would say it doesn't matter.
ok i've heard some say you need them others say you don't, now i just gotta get enough money for the clutch and imma go ahead and upgrade the axles, and then find someone to install eveything
Sounds like a good plan. Better save up quite a bit. Intense charged $525 plus oil to install. I think it came to $585 or so. So it was like $1700 for clutch, flywheel, and install.
*EDIT* Aaron from TTR gave me a great deal on my Spec clutch. I would recommend from getting either clutch from them

ok i know NOTHING about clutches i'm learning as i go here, do you have to put oil in them on the install or are you refering to engine oil, and yea i am planning on gettin the clutch from TTR when i do it
I don't know much either but as far as I know its the transmission fluid
No you dont need to change the tranny fluid when you do a clutch install. You dont remove any parts that would drain the oil from the tranny. You can, as general Matn. but it is not needed.
