Okay i have a zzp transmission with a zzp stage 4 clutch. I have had the transmission in for about 2 months now. The problem is that every time i try to shift from 1-2 it grinds as if the syncro is bad. Could it be a shifter linkage needs to be adjust or syncro actually bad? It grinds the first time i put it in 2nd gear but if i hold the clutch in and shift from neutral to 2nd a couple times it doesnt grind and goes in gear just fine with no noise. What could be wrong?

it sounds like a worn syncro, however the sme sort of condition can be caused by a clutch that isnt releasing completely.

Could just be a disengagement issue.

it only does it in second gear. all the other gears are fine and no grind.

its not going to be a cable adjustemt problem. if its only 2nd gear and the clutch feels good its more than likely a worn syncro.

where can i get syncros from? can i get upgraded ones? This kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth with zzp since the transmission hasnt been in long.

call and talk to them before you do anything.

yes but the transmission has a year warranty but the cost for getting the transmission taking out and shipping it off to zzp would be alot. Just shipping cost $200+
