75w90 NS is designed for transmissions and transaxles.
The reason it says its for "non limitied slip" applications is because there is a version of this oil(plain 75w90) that has limited slip rear friction modifiers in it.
You DONT want that one.
Make sure you use the 75w90NS EVEN if you have G85, the G85 diff is a geared unit and doesnt need friction modifiers.
If you put regular Redline 75w90 or any 75w90 that has limited slip additives in it youll shift like **** and potentially ruin your blocker rings in the synchros.

I just looked at the Royal Purple stuff, I dont think I would use that it, it has the additives I was talking about for clutch type limited slips, thats bad for the F35. They however recommend it for all manual transmissions that call for a GL5 75w90. I'd go with Redline unless youre a diehard RP fan

so i just did a tranny swap (blew the diff) I got an F23 and the recomended is 75w90NS from Red Line? and that gets filled from that black cap on the top of the tranny or the torx bolt beside it?
If youve got an F23 the recommended is Dexron type fluids. 05-06s youre fine with Mobil1 ATF, works great, or GM Manual Trans fluid(88861800) 07-09 you should be using Dexron VI
You dont fill it through either of those on the top. It gets filled/checked a the port on the side of it, look in through the left wheel and there will be a plug/bolt at about 3 o'clock in relation to where the axle comes out....thats where you fill it. Put fluid in til its level with that hole.

Syncromesh isnt designed for either Cobalt manual transmission.
The F23 in the 2.2/2.4 uses Dexron VI
The F35 in the 2008-9 2.0's uses P/N:88862472
this is a new number than was used for the 2004-2007 trans'. This "new" fluid is a 75w85 GL4 GM switched to this to help fuel economy, and make the synchros happy, its also available from Mitusbishi(the EVO 6speed uses it) as DiaQueen, and its actually Castrol Syntrans, if you want non dealer specific stuff. Its not cheap because its synthetic, but its good stuff, it also gets used in the big NVG4500 trans in trucks.

I found a webpage dedicated to the Saab F35 and someone's experiences with running the F35 with 500+ hp engines. He said that most of the F35s that come back for repair have worn out synchronizers from using aftermarket fluids. It looks like the ONLY safe thing to use in the F35/MU3 is the GM fluid specified in the manual.
Thats not a good idea. Best is GM #21018899, if you absolutely cant find that, Redline MTL, or in hot areas Redline 75w90NS also will do. I dont recommend any other fluids at this time, very few others will either.
