what do you guys think?

ok so i something happend to my tranny on my LNF and i decided to get a LSJ G85 tranny.... i know it has shorter gear but that means faster acceleration... you guys think ill see a difference between the LNF gears and LSJ?

I don't think it'll fit the LNF axles. Ours are larger and stronger. PM Maven on G M Sport compact dot net to be sure before you do it.

Since it's geared shorter, first will be totally useless in a tuned LNF. I wish ours was taller already.

well the tranny is already installed... i didnt know that the LNF tranny is stronger than the LSJ... i just thought it had different gears and thats it...

You're going to smash that LSJ trans.. the case on the LNF trans is upgraded in an attempt to keep it from exploding.

I didn't think the axles would even bolt up, guess I remembered wrong.

What'd you do to your original? Blow up 3rd or the case?

LNF axles will not fit in the LSJ wheel hubs, or vice versa, but the trans spline is the same.

im pretty sure syncros on 2nd gear went, and on 3rd gear at the begining it would make a weird "crak crak crak" noise as i speed up, and then one day 3rd gear just took a **** on me...

you will need to modify your trans to fit lnf axels or modify the hubs to accept lsj or some axels to make it work.....

He was probably trying to run the LNF axles on an LSJ car. Can be done, but you gotta change the knuckles as well.

well trany is in, work good... just got it back and ive put about 20 miles on it and everything seems fine... we'll see how everything turns out... looks good for now
