Hate to bump an old thread, but Im gonna do it anyway since the most recent post before mine asked how it was holding up.

I've had my Cosmo shifter for about two years now. After the first 6 months, the ball on the shaft loosened enough that the shifter will rotate a few degrees on its vertical axis. Its not really a big deal because its just chromed steel and eventually I will pull it back out and tack weld the ball to the shaft so it doesnt rotate. Over all though, it is a pretty nice shifter for the money. I wish I would have spent a little more for a better one, but I really have no regrets in getting this one.

I do have one question though, has anyone ever found a replacement shift knob that fits the threads on these shifters? I really dont want to use a "universal" POS knob but the chromed steel sucks. I had covered it in leather a while back, but its starting to tear and really needs to be recovered, but I figured I'd see if anyone had found a replacement.
