Around 280 whp is the norm (and what I've mostly seen for HHR SS and Cobalt SS/TC's) for a GMS1 tune, I dyno'd at 279 whp on a dynojet. I think people seeing over 300 whp on GMS1 are on inflated dyno's, thats my personal opinion.

I think 280 is a bit inflated as well, but it is the norm.

Wouldn't doubt it. Alot of stuff will outrun my balt. BUT, the reason I put that there is because a bunch of people are bashing what I put down on the dyno. Tunnel vision on the high number does wonders for me when I wanna race someone. Stock I was at 219 on this dyno, jsut sick of haters, thats all. I have a 270whp cobalt thats going to run 12's tonight... No other 270 whp balt can do that. I use the dyno to see gains, not compare to anyone else, lol.

New member here. Trying to make some sense of the posted numbers on the first post of this thread. I have an 07 Sky Redline, which has the LNF package. I would almost kill a family member to crack 300 WHEEL hp on 92-93 octane gas. With a catless down pipe, 3" free flow exhaust, and a well tuned ECU, I am seeing 282whp on a DynoJet in Merriam, Ks. Some additional info - engine driven P/S vs. the Cobalt electric P/S, and 5 different vendors that supply tunes and/or I/Cs and pipes state that with a stock turbo there is no benefit (until the stock I/C is heat soaked).
Any thoughts?

Its not hard to go WOT in a straight line. Really 600's aren't ALL that ridiculously fast. Sure, they **** and git, but they aren't the be all end all when it comes to speed.

I agree with mkriebs, they arent that terribly fast, and it wouldnt take much more than i have now to plain spank one - Ive raced with a 600 before. 60-150 He straight up left me from 60 and got about 3 car lengths out, but once at 95-100 I started reeling him him and was on his back tire by the time we shut it down at 150.

i didnt say anything from 0-150. I'm just stating facts of 1/4 miles, i know you did the whole gay roll racing thing but power is power, its going to be the same for 1/4 then it is for rolls. Either with a cobalt or not, i highly doubt this ever happend and if it did, dude on the bike needs a to drop his purse and learn how to use the throttle.

I went WOT with a 600 from 60 on the interstate, he had 2 cars on me and I reeled him in and passed him by a half car before 120. Bike let off about 130. Time to get off the bandwagon about 'ZOMG BIKE ARE SOOOO FAZT!!!!'
He's just mad he paid $35k for a car that can get raped by a Cobalt.
