i have the stock stereo and I never really thought the speakers were very good until listening to Bone Thugs N' Harmony- Crossroads. They hit the highs well while maintaining the the low tone throughout the song.

The stock system is very capable of producing accurate highs and lows, but it falls short when it comes to mid-range frequencies. It's weaknesses really show when you play something with heavy guitars in it. However, if you listen to a lot of hip-hop, it sounds pretty decent because it contains mostly beats and vocals. I thought "STILL FLY" by BIG TYMERS sounded pretty good on the stock system. For me, the stock system had to go because I listen to a lot of rock and metal. If I only listened to hip-hop, the stock system would almost satisfy me.
