"Blown Speaker" Issue

As most of you know I bought my car wrecked, when it came I noticed that the rear left speaker was not hooked up. I hooked it up only to find out that it sounded blown. Since then I have replaced the headunit and bought new speakers for the rear. The issue is that the same exact one still sounds blown even though it is brand new. I can be positive that it is not the speaker or the headunit, so I am assuming it is the wiring. I was wondering if someone could tell me where the amp is located as I may end up having to splice in a new speaker cord for the speaker, or if anyone had any theories on what I could try to fix the issue? Thanks

EDIT: I found the amp up on it's side under the dash, but are the wires closer the the roof, or the wires closer the the floor the output wires? I can see that there are two groups, I just can't tell which is which.
