Thanks to everyone that responded to my "blown speaker " thread. I went to Best Buy and listened to the different speakers they had and ended up with Pioneer 3-ways. I am very happy with the sound, better mid and high with very little loss of base.
As a side note, I would like to say the salesperson I talked to seemed very knowledgeable and actually steered me away from the more expensive Alpines I was looking at. Nice to see someone not truing to up sell too make more money. I bought them at th Gurnee Illinois Best Buy and would recommend them to anyone wanting to pay retail for their equipment.
