Changing the stereo

Hey, im new to the site and i just bought an 06 cobalt LS. I have an Alpine CDA-9753 and i wanna put it into my LS. Ive been to different stores for a wiring harness and have been told i need a black box and some of the stores say the box won't work and ill have to wire up the stock stereo in the trunk so i dont void my warranty and will still have use of airbags, door chime, etc. Can anyone solve my problem?

Ill reply the same as i have all along, thats bullshit and the only thing the stereo controls is the the speakers and nothing else. stereo shops need to stop are only doing this to make more money off you.

No, you will NOT lose your door chimes!!! Jeez

Here's proof that the reason shops tell you that is just because they don't know, not because they're trying to sell you stuff.

Another reason to do the proper research and do the install yourself.

I dont mean to hi-jack, but i do have a simialir question about head units. I have the 7 speaker pioneer system w/ xm etc..

I have a panasonic cq-c9701 (its a digital 70x4 amp in it)

CD/MP3 player, 70W x 4 , Digital, 5V x 3 Preamp Outs , CD-R / CD-RW Playback , MP3 / WMA Playback , Motorized Display Face , Sound Quality 9 , MOSFET Output Stage , Mute/Attenuator , Separate Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader, ID3 Tag , CD Text Display , 3-beam Hologram Pickup, Scan, search, repeat and random play pause , Variable Colour Display, Red Colour Button Illumination , Remote Control In , Full-Face Design , Face Colour -Silver Chrome, Removable Faceplate, Remote Control Unit (Option), ISO Connector, Customisable, Aux in, High Definition 3D Dot Matrix Display, Radio DSP, Seek Tuning with DX/Local Switch.

And i also have 6.5 infinity refrence 2-ways, and 6x9 3-ways, from my old car.

Would i be able to run the panasonic headunit and all of my infinity speakers, with the stock pioneer subwoofer, and amp?
