is this correct?! HELP

so i just ordered a new HU.
the pioneer DEH-P5000UB
and i got the metra 70-2103 wiring harness
do i need to get a fuse tap?
i have an 06 and have already checked to make sure the DIC and chimes work, they do.

No you shouldn't.

Just wire the harness up to the CD player. Plug and play.

Did you get the fit kit, etc.

okay, thanks.
it just said that the harness came w/ a power wire that needed to be run to the fusebox
so i didnt know.
and yeah i got the dash kit, it came with it (from crutchfield)

Then you do need one.

Should've done research on that harness.

No, just run the wire to your fuse box or run a wire to a power source and add a in-line fuse.

I ran mine to a 15A fuse on my fuse box. Can't remember exactly which one, but it was a non-critical one. Meaning if it popped I wouldn't of lost something critical.
