Dimming Problem

2007 Cobalt LS
Ok, so I did the Big 3, the appropriate way, and a new battery (Kinetik HC1800)

Alpine
Two MRP-500's (500@2 ohms) to power 2 4-ohm Type R's wired for 2 ohm power

F300 (50 watts@4 for 4ohm) powering Two Type R 6.5's in the doors and Two 6x9's in the rear deck

CDA-117 Headunit

ROCKFORD FOSGATE
All wiring, 1/0 guage, 4 and 8 guage
Distribution Blocks yada ya

Problem, my d@mn lights still dim when the subs are @ +15 and the radio is all the way up +35. Now I don't plan on rolling around blasting the subs @ +15 all the time, but there are times when I want to lol. Anything else I can do? If you suggest HID's please include where you got them from, what harness(s) I need for my car and where I can get them installed. Have never done headlight installs b4

cap might help but idk... i would measure your voltage and see how much its dropping. may need to move the battery ground

probably not but few systems are small enough so the stock alt does have enough power. anyway get a digital multi meter set it on dc voltage and see what its reading on the amp. then again on the battery

Is there a better spot than the stock ground that's close? I've had mine in a variety of places throughout the years

lol right? theres always the "frame" just outside the wheel well. its a pita to screw thru but whatever

its hard for me to tell whats actually better and whats not soly because most of the time i would redo the ground was in hopes it would fix a broken piece of equipment not necessarily because i knew the groudn i had was bad

Yea, I'm gonna try and ground it in a different spot, I just need more money to get more 1/0 wiring to do it
