i have an 06 ss sc but my stock stereo doesnt have an aux jack in the front of it.. my question is do they have an aux jack in the back of the unit to where i can plug in a cable into it and connect the other into my mp3 player? or am i out of luck...

My 06 = No.

 

07 and up have aux jacks.

And a trip to the dealership to have it, they are all vehicle specific, so when you put one in from another car, you have to get the dealer to reprogam it, even then they don't always work right.
Just go aftermarket with a Ipod, or USB hook up

 

yea i plan to.. i was just seeing if i could get a head unit out of maybe a wrecked 07 and hook it right in.. but i can't

i think aftermarket makes more sense.. i asked about hooking up an ipod interface would cost a lil less than a decent head unit.. might as well upgrade the stereo..

 

I love my auxiliary jack. My iPod loves it too.

 

not enough to be worth it IMO. and im pretty sure the only ipot interface for stock units are 07+ sry

 

I think axxess makes a interface for the 06, I was kinda looking into it myself. I realize an aftermarket headunit would most likely be better for the price, but atleast if you went with an interface you would keep that clean stock look.
