Ebay capacitors?

Are those off-brand capacitors on ebay worth the $50? I have a 2400W peak bridged system at 2ohms, would a 1.5 farad be sufficient? I'm getting some hardcore gauge and headlight dimming, hoping this will help the problem. I've been looking on ebay and there's lots of 1.5 farad caps cheap, just wondering if any of you have had experience and wether they're worth the money?

Thanks
Jon

I have a 2400/1 legacy amp, I think it's around 1800RMS I can't remember but it's hooked to 2 audiobahn flame compressions. Not nearly enough amp for the subs but good enough for now, but I want a cheap cap!

id def. look for something bigger than 1.5 then.... i dont know how those legacy's are actually rated, the sony amps say like 1200 peak, but they really only hit like 400 if your lucky..... someone else posted that they got one of those optima batterys and it solved the problem, do a search...

A cap is a cap is a cap man. there are only like 4 companys that actualy make the core mart of it. Oll the other companys just buy that and put there name on it and some other flashy crap and then make a but load of chash on it.
2,400 watts pick dosnt mater when deciding what size cap you need.
What brand Amp is it? What is the RMS rating for the amp? What size power wire is it using?
8 6 4 2 or 0 gauge? And do you still have the stock battery?

I had an insane systom in my cavy a few years back. I even managed to blow the windsheald out 3 times. I have pics of it some place. Ill look and see if I can find some of them if you want.

Give me the info I asked for and Ill tell you what size cap you need to kill the dimming.

I would get another battery and toss it in your trunk. You get a lot of reserve power from that. Make sure to get a Isolation Block so they don't drain eachother.
