kevlar is a little stronger but its weavable just like carbon fiber. its mostly seen in hybrid materials.

i wonder if its as light, in the army we wear a helmet made of kevlar layers, that thing gets heavy after a while.

nah the weave actually looks pretty nice. Until the clearcoat was put on and it was buffed and all that it sorta looked fake. Im sure you know what i mean. But the few imperfections we had was a few spots were the first layer of epoxy didn't seep all the way thru the material and kept causing bubbles/fish eyes. they aren't bad thou the pods are still very nice looking all around

Actually most of the weight came from the back piece. Its significantly thicker then the front panel even thou they both feel about as strong

the speakers are held in behind it, what he did was cut the hole for the speakers/mid bass in the door panel, fabricated a pice of wood to fit that area to hold the speakers (i believe also cut into the door for more room since there is nothing behind it) mounted the wood, mounted the speakers, and then put the door pod over it

looks great, but would looke 100x better if it was the color of the door, i want to see whole car interior pics

ur crazy creed. Yes we cut holes for the speakers. also painted the orange ones black. Just havent had time ever since we did the painting to post finished pics. I also had issues with the second skin lux liner peeling off so between that and work ive been busy. I was actually gonna take pics today but didnt happen. I really need to get them in sunlight to see the blue of the kevlar at its fullest

Ive been so busy at work that i haven't been able to get any sunlight pics so i took some for now and will post more later... the 2 of the 3 that show the blue Kevlar decently well are an idea of what it looks like in person with sunlight or up close (in really good sunlight it stands out more) but the 3rd is a better idea of what it looks like either in artificial light or at first glance when its not quite so bright out. Enjoy!
