It monitors various engine parameters, stuff the DIC doesn't show. Lets me see how things are running, and I have no use for a boost gauge right now.

Based on some members experiences 05-06 are good together and 07+ work together.

Hey guys, new here.
My question is my 08 has a 120 mph cluster. Are you saying that if I swap it for an 07+ G5 white face cluster it will work fine and even though it goes to 140 mph my it will still show the correct speed?
You guys seem to know a lot about cobalts in general so your input is appreciated.
Also being that the G5 is a pontiac, the gauge back lights are red right?

Slow on the response here. But i think it should work. Though I prefer to stay 08+ on 08's but that might just be me being cautious. People have done it and said it worked thoughl...

Bumping this back up.
I bought a Canadian 2007 SS with a 260 KM speedo cluster
Anybody made the swap from KM to MPH or MPH to KM..?
Any issues if so?

I would think..swapping to the US MPH version should be plug and play like the rest.. providing I use an 07 (SS cluster)

I don't think you will have an issue changing to MPH as long as you get a cluster from an 07 or later.

For the record.. bought an 07 cluster off FeEbay.. swapped it out... and all is right with the world..
All good.. all works..
I then swapped the PSI gauge from my recently totaled 06 for the KPA in the 07.. no issues..

Just adding information for future inquires..
