Head Unit Help

Ok so i have two problems to deal with.

This is my headunit: http://images.cardomain.net/products...VCKDHDR1_1.jpg

This is my ipod cable: http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

My the cable is plugged into my head unit and the ipod is plugged in and it is being charged by the headdunit but it will not play through my car. I cycle through source and it doesnt even say its hooked up. Any ideas on how to get this to work?

Also, i have the ipod hooked up and i also want to hook up my xm radio. However, there is only one port to plug both of these in. Does anyone know if theres a way to get around this and have both plugged in at one. (like a junction box or something).

Thanks in advance!

would this solve the xm/ipod problem?

Don't you need an ipod adapter for your head unit? I'm no expert, but look into that.

iPod adapter is needed if you do not have one. we JUST started carrying these... and as long as your headunit has RCA cables... your are good to go. I am going to post an addition thread in this section for these... but i will post it here as well. ALSO, the company we deal with is going to be VERY SOON coming out with all the direct plug and play headunit swaps with ipod, nav, xm intergretion while still allowing you to recieve all data, digs and alerts like the factory radio would give you. ANYWAYS, untill then here is the iPod adapter we sell and install for customers. you can find it on our website HERE

Here is some product Info:

Use this cable with a stereo that has the Aux Audio input feature and connect to an iPod. Plug this cable in behind the stereo using the RCA plugs or the 3.5mm phone plug for OEM stereos with an Aux input. Refer to the instruction manual of the stereo on selecting the audio input for the stereo. This cable provides audio and charging.

Hope this may help.

In looking at the user manaul for your deck. It should pass audio when the deck says "EXT IN"
As you don't have the IPOD adpater that allows your radio to control teh IPOD then it won't actualy say IPOD
If it does not say EXT In then it may say CHANGER
Either should pass audio.

As that product is not actualy a JVC product it might now be usable with your head unit.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of.
If you go to a Best Buy or something, they'd show you exactly what it is...

thats the thing you will need. but to get XM at the same time. you will need a source selector. im not sure if jvc makes one. i dont think they make it. so to play ipod n XM up to that radio. i think ur screwed. look into it.

Sometimes the Xmtuners have a bus pass through on them. So you may not need the selector
