help with replacing stock sub

OK So I have decided that the stock sub in my 07 SS/SC is not doing it for me. So I am replacing it.

I am tossed up between an Infinity Basslink self powered sub or a PIONEER TS-SW2541D 10" 1000w slim sub with amp to go into the stock enclosure.

Now I'm not sure what way I'm gonna go, but I'm leaning toward the Basslink due to cost.

My question is this: What is the best way to get the signal to the amp? I figure I have a few options.

1. The RE-Q, 3Sixty or similar device.
2. Line Level converter
3. Use the speaker level input directly on the amp or Basslink.

Now if I use a speaker level converter on the amp or line level converter can I just use the wires from the sub or do I have to use my rear speaker signal?

Any opinions are appreciated and please keep in mind I really don't want to spend a whole lot of money.

Wish I could help you but I was wondering about replacing the stock sub and putting another speaker in the stock enclosure aswell.

if your on a budget then i would throw the processors out the window... they are nice and do what they need to do but not really nessicary. A line level converter or using high level inputs are both just fine. In terms of which one will be louder the bass link or the pioneer i honestly have no idea... Depending on you amp choice its going to make the big difference... The only way id go with the basslink would be if your amp of choice makes the same or less power then the basslink (havent looked at the specs for the pioneer sub so try and match rms of the sub to amp)

Yeah, its a direct swap. You just need an mdf ring so the back of the speaker wont hit the back of the box.You need to run an amp for it of course.

the factory sub is a 2 channel setup. You need to pick a input and use it to run a LOC or run it to the amp. I had to take the whole box out of the trunk and remove a bolt from the back of the sub inorder to remove it from the stock box. (I bought a RF P3 shallow for the stock enclosure, no MDF ring needed) and am giving it about 280 watts RMS.
