Hooking up to stock system

My sister has left and forgot about these 2 10" sony explodes and an mdx amp. I remember it being an ok system and wouldnt mind just taking it. Can I use the wireing thats with the stock system? Or would I have to rewire it? Will it wire to the stock deck? Ive installed a few systems but I dont know if I want to be ripping up my car if I dont need to. Thanks.

i dont know if your talking about wiring into the stock sub in the SS/SC so i dont know about that. i would probably just disconnect it though and run the aftermaket subs. Yes, you can wire it to the stock deck. you need to get a line out converter. connect your RCA's to that and then splice the high levels into your speaker wire from the 6X9s. if the amp has high level inputs you can just splice those into the speaker wire and do not need the line out converter; that is how mine is set up.

Its an 06 ss/sc. I would leave the stock sub in place but I would not connect it. I just want to throw in the two 10s and wire them to the amp. Im just wordering if I would have to complety rewire everything or if you can use any of the existing wires. It looks weird how they have it wired. Is there even an amp? Ugh kind of sounds like a headache. Slow it down? You mean weight wise right?

i dont know how the stock sub/amp is wired because i dont have a SS/SC, but i would assume you could reuse the existing wires as long as they are the correct gauge. make sure there is an inline fuse as well in between the battery and the amp. it would probably be easier to just get a wiring kit; that way you know you have everything you need. someone else may know about the SS/SC wiring though. hope that helped.

yea, i think that is what he meant by "slow it down" lol.
