HU install in a 04 Aveo(NOT A)SS LOL

Hi all,i have a job to do a install in a 04 Aveo this week and can't find any info that im reall looking for.

I know that all 2000 up gms are Data bus 2(think thats the right name) meaning to the person that is installing a aftermarket radio doesn't have a 12v built into the new harness like pre 2000 cars.

But i was just looking on Crutchfields site and this is what they say

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-OnDPaNp...sp?i=120708405

Connections:

12V constant power
12V switched power
chassis ground
power antenna turn-on
amplifier turn-on
illumination
left front speaker +/-
right front speaker +/-
left rear speaker +/-
right rear speaker +/-

Now as you see it says it comes with one in the harness but im 100% sure on this,i really thought all 2000 GM's had this new system but i guess not.

If you have anymore info please let me know

i did a hu in my cobalt ls. there was a 12v constant and a ground but no acc power. so i looked on mitchell on demand. i found the acc power in the ignition harness under the steering clolumn. it was brown for me. (that harness, if its the same in the aveo, is directly behind the key. it has like 4 or 5 wires) CAREFUL OF YOUR AIRBAG WIRES!! THE BIG YELLOW OR ORANGE ONES!!!

The Aveo is just a reskinned Suzuki... right? Or was it a Daewoo?

Anyways.... it's not a "real" chevy... so it probably won't have "real" chevy parts.

suzuki and daewoo have had ties with GM for years... as have a lot of foreign car makers.

the aveo is made by daewoo using a 1.6 litre holden built ecotec. in fact AFAIK, the daewoos were the first cars in the USA with the ecotec engine family.

either way, don't look for it to be the same as the other GM cars. anyone ever work on a geo? same deal, sold as GM, build by everyone the heck else (toyota and suzuki mostly, i think an izuzu in there as well)
