If I remove the stock head unit......

If I remove the stock head unit and put an in car computer in the car, will all the electronics still work?

(ie: leave the wiring harness not plugged into anything)

In car PC.. with touchscreen monitor... M-Audio Delta 1010LT sound car for processing all the sound in the car.. hooked directly into my amplifiers..

This eliminates the head unit all together.

Onstar I do not have so im not worried..thats good, anything else?

most people would assume you were running a "computer" to controll all the functions of your engine. not just for entertainment purposes. not dising u or anything. but ya everything will work out for u no problem. ur car can run without ur headunit

alright.. thats what I thought.. and yea you can add a diagnostic port to hook up hptuners.. but I will have to figure out if the power supply can handle the amount of peripherals im hooking up to it.. I might have to add another power supply..

Thanks for your help.. and yea windows is ***** but I want something compatible with the frontend software you use to control everything by touch.

depending on the year. If it's the 07, you wont get warning chimes anymore through the front left speaker

if you consider that "electronics"

car pc will work fine, Only thing is lost is chimes on all 07+ vehicles. Depending on how you wire your stuff you may want to invest in the cheap harnesses for constant and ground along with the stock amp remote assuming u have the pioneer package. Happy installing post up pics here and theres tons of info on MP3car.com
