Installing new H/U in my 07.. Couple questions..
Just read the FAQ and it made me have a couple questions..
The audio place I went to for the harness ordered me something called (directly from reciept) "Perphrial lan 11 bit adapter w/ onstar" .. I am installed a double din H/U (kenwood) and they ordered me a double din too "BKGMK350 07 gm/chevy double din kit"
Do I need an antenna adapter? Or should my radio already have one?
The harness was $170. ******* expensive **** so it better work! Is this the one I need? If not, he better keep looking cause I paid him a down payment of $90 cause I wasn't sure if it was the right one or not but he seemed sure. Figured I'd ask you guys.

The GM antenna adapter does not work with the 07's
It did not work with mine, however I had the Pioneer system with XM.
What did work for mine was the Chrysler ant. adapter (go figure)
You can pick up the Scocshe or whatever the hell its call Chrysler ant. adapter at Walmart for (I can't remember the exact price) like $5.00 give or take a buck or two.
The Metra part # for the adapter is in the general Stereo FAQ, section, its just as cheap, the antenna adapters are not like the wire harness, there all pretty cheap.
I had to use a GMOS LAN 04 as well but when I got mine it was still uncertain which one to use, Ebay wasn't selling them at all. I had to go through a local shop and I paid like $200 Canadian for it. (plus tax, which BTW is 15% up here in Canada)
So $110 or $170 is a good deal in my eyes

Thanks a lot for your input, Spun. I'll definitely get that adapter for the antenna at walmart then. $5 sounds like my kind of price. Haha.
Did you install a double din unit in your car? I just wanted to make sure that you have to purchase the double din dash kit before installing a aftermarket radio, right? Thanks again man.

Yea the kit is a must.
I went with the ISO mount rather than using the metal sleve that come with the decks.
The ISO allows you to bolt the unit right to the sides of the kit and then the kit bolts into the same spot that the stock HU does. Makes it nice and snug fitting in there.
BTW- All of the kits come with the hardware to do it ISO style, just incase I complicated things a little more, not to worry.

looks like everything is all covered. Just fy for spun all the new GMs use the chrysler ant adapter. Sad thing is most have the normal motorola one in them somewhere and convert to that bullshit. Just so you have to convert back
