Just Bought a Kenwood DDX419 How to Install?

Hey guys, so I got a sick boxing day deal on a kenwood ddx419 deck and I saved 250$ off the original 400$ price tag. It just arrived at my door. Now the problem is Iv'e heard that I need to buy some sort of harness? in order to keep my chimes and turn signals? On my cavalier I don't remember having to buy anything but the deck.

So main question is, I got a base model 2005 Cobalt. What harness do I have to buy and where do I buy it? And where do I get the mounting kit?

The BIGGEST problem I am facing is that I have done some research and have found different answers, Ive heard people say that I do not need a harness, but then I hear people saying I do need a harness. I have a base model 05 cobalt.

Just need to know if I need a harness or not, and if so where do I buy it

bingo. and buy the harness. for a 2005 the chimes come from the speedometer so all you need is the basic 10 dollar harness. To answer you question you dont "need" a harness persay, but installing a radio without one is downright retarded. You can install that without a harness if you know what your doing but there is no reason to cut your stock harness ever to install a radio.

Nope you will need a steering wheel control module available through Pac Audio or Metra.
