Lights dimming bad w/ amp & subs
So just here reciently my amp (760W pioneer) and my speakers (two JL audio 12's) have been pulling the **** out of the power to my car. I mean, it so bad that even the slightest bass hit and the lights flicker. Sometimes my radio will turn completely off them come back on. Stock H/U. Any ideas? Do I need a capacitor? Bigger ground? Alternator going? Thanks guys.
Upgrade the "Big Three". Lol.. hard to do on our cars with the battery all the way in the back, but ehh.
A capacitor will be a band-aid fix.
And it's not a short. It's due to the amplifier pulling more power than the electrical system can provide. Like a fat kid on a tredmel... eventually the kids gunna fall off.

are your amp connected direcetly to the batterie in the trunk ? or fuse box in front ?
i will consider you have gone the right path and connected to the batterie, check the tickness of your wires i beleive they are too small caliber for your needs
replacing baterie with optima dry cell will help, also capacitors go with at least 2 of them
my set up, 2 optima yellow top, 3 stinger capacitor, and gauge # 1 wiring its almost an inch thick
i have 3 kicker amps 3 sub's, 2x10" + 1x15" kicker comp vr, my amps 2x500 watts + 1 600watts

Honestly a yellow top optima battery should fix your issue. I currently am pushing 1300 watts and my lights dim but its not all that bad and I only have a cap on it. I need to upgrade to a yellow top and that fixes most issues so start there
More than likely not... unless you ran like 12 gauge wiring, but unfortuanetly the wire would fry and catch fire from too much current before you would see flickering lol.

A cap will help a little bit, but buying a Yellow top deep cycle battery should help as well. The battery is ment for drawing lots of power and still being able to hold a charge

I have what you need, lol https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/stuff-137/f-s-alumapro-15-farad-audio-capacitor-cap-111857/ seriously, this thing is the **** but without the proper wiring and posibly a battery upgrade it will do you no good. Some say Caps are Crap, but a good one can't hurt.
