Mini Morimoto D2S Retro

This is my second retro attempt and I think I'm doing good so far.
I used FX-Rs on my first retro but one of the projectors was off rotation and I wasn't able to fix it because my car is my daily driver so I decided to build another set.

I bought everything at The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications

Here's what I'll be using.

Cobalt headlight taken apart.

I had to do some trimming but nothing serious, I also sanded the reflector.

Painted shroud and mounted projector.

I'm going to aim the projectors tomorrow, and I'll be updating soon.

looks good man! i know how it feels to have an angled fx-r.

so you can mount those without screws? interesting.

Time for updates

I'm almost done with this project
I aimed the projectors today, it was easier than I thought, I also mounted the shroud and put the bezel back on.
I'm going to seal the headlights tomorrow and I'm going to buff out the lenses someday this week.

Some wall shots.

Almost done.

Talk to Matt at the www.theretrofitsource.com, I'm pretty sure he can get you a nice deal on a set of projectors.

Just ordered from them last night...should be excellent. I ordered the H1 version since I have Gen 4 projectors now which take an H1 bulb so thats an easy swap. No extra purchasing of things.

You're not going to be disappointed with the light output of this projectors.
Wait.... Are you going to retrofit them on your Gen 4s?
