Need something to fill the gap...

Ok I have the 06 ss/sc.. with the mp3 head unit. No XM or Onstar.

Question I have is... that plastic bezel of nothing below the head unit. Looking for something to go their. Would a nav unit fit in that slot? Something I could wire into the system with a pop out screen? Just curious what others have done or any ideas.

It is a double din so any 2 single din units will fit there. You will need to do some custom modding if you bought the normal circuit city / best buy bracket. You will need to move the unit up a bit and cut out the little pouch before 2 single dins will fit in there. I would leave some space in between the top and bottom unit.

Ok hummm how can I describe this.

Just below the head unit but above the ac unit. I have what looks to be a blank piece of plastic molded to look like it would take a tape. Is that a single din unit slot and if so I could put anything single din size in there right?

I'm not really sure what would fit there though if you were to do something.

Hummtime to look into research. I like those slide out lcd display sets... I wonder if I could get something like that for a GPS in my car... Now that would be sweet.

Yeah thats the one thing that annoys me about this car. I don't see why they could not have at LEAST put a little storage area there to fit a cd or two or a cell phone or something. I know a lot of people who have Hondas and in their cars they have little compartments everywhere. Where's the storage space GM? C'mon!
