New battery not helping
New battery not helping
The system right now is only at 1,000 watts (2 alpine type R's 12 inch 4-ohm subs with two alpine mrp500 amps for each) but I will be adding around 600 watts to it later, so the system will be b/t 1600-1700 watts
Ok so I upgraded my battery to a HC1800 from Kinetiks, and my lights still dim. What do you guys recommend that I do next? (Big 3, H/O Alt etc)

look into a larger wire from the under hood fuse block to battery. i tested my 09's alternator to put out 184 amps when warm so im sure most of us watt 2000 watt and less Rms suuld be fine on a stock alt with proper wire upgrades.
i wouldnt put 16-1700rms into type r's, and theres only like 3 people on this site with the big 3 done but its a cheap way to help with voltage drops. i dobut you need a H/O alt though. you could also get HID's becuase they dont dim....just cause your lights are dimming dosent mean something is necessarly wrong though.
