Angry New radio.

Okay, well I'm completely lost on how to install my new double din head unit. I bought the wiring harness from metra and the dash kit from scosche and I got everything wired up and set in place. And the radio turned on and everything but I was receiving no sound at all. I've read and seen that I need to tap into the factory amp but I don't know what wire that is or anything. What do I need to do?

Come on guys, I know at least someone knows what to do. I've searched for a diy but I can only find the ones that have the expensive wiring harness, I need to know which wire to splice into!

One of your wires isn't connected right then. Do you have the blue wire with a white strip connected to anything? That's normally the amp on wire.

But, the amp is connected into the factory harness so it should turn on when the radio does. So then again, it goes back to you don't have a wire hooked up right. Any pics of the harnesses?

Yeah the blue wire with white stripe isn't connected to anything. I had a system in my old car so I pretty much know what I'm doing but my old car didn't have a factory amp. You would think the wiring harness would be set up for that anyway yes here is the picture. Again, my remote wire is just dangling hooked up to nothing.

I tried again. But I'm on my phone. I'm not sure how to post the picture from there. Let me know if it worked that time.

Nope. There's something for the 06 but it's different than mine.

In the how to section see if the one about the pioneer avic will work. I got a system in mine but nothing is factory. I think the amp turn on for the factory amp is pink but not positive. EmperorJJ is usually go for this kind of info.

Yeah everyone is saying pink. But if you can see my picture there is a pink and a pink with black strip. I don't want to take the chances of cutting a wire and it being the wrong one and then I'd have to go to the stealership to fix it.

This ^ a few years ago when putting a DoubleDIN in my old 2.4 I had to tap into a pink wire to get audio, it was really weird but it worked I'm pretty sure I connected the remote wire from the HU to the Pink remote wire in the harness.

You need to put power to the PINK wire coming from the harness.
