Thumbs down no sound after installing clarion nz500 radio

I bought the radio back a few years and decided to install it in my SC 2005 cobalt. The aftermarket wiring harness took care of the main harness which included the power wires, speaker wires and such. There is a second radio plug. Can someone tell me what to hook to this harness and what in HE>> IS THE WIRES FOR and do? I'm certain this is why I have no sound. The car orig. had a pioneer system, and the radio was removed before I bought the car. I have run wiring for power amps and have aftermarket speakers and such. I would like to run both sets of speakers if possible. I used a similar system in my crown vic. and it sounded awesome. I did upgrade the factory speakers though. The second plug is black with gray ears, 5 wires, Pink, green, orange, brown, and black. There are second colors on these wires, but those are the main colors. I'm sure there is an easy fix. I just havn't found it. Please help

the 2nd plug is for the factory XM... its unneeded. Is the speaker system stock? if so then all you should have to do is put power to the factory remote turn on and you will be good

Great, I'm sure your right. this is a stock factory pioneer system. I'm not quite sure as to what wire it is ,but i'll try and trace it. Were did they hide the amp in these cars ? And did they feed 12v or do I need to cut back the volts to a lesser amount?

12v. the amp is under the steering column but theres a remote turn on wire in the stock HU harness. Does your harness have an amp turn on in it? if so did u hook it up? if not it is generally a pink wire however ther might be multiple so test with care
