No Sound in speakers after installing Amp and subs

I was installing an old amp and one 12" sub in my 2006 Cobalt. I am using my stock stero so I used a IEC AULOC, after hooking up the system all i got was the sub pulsing and no audio coming out of the speakers. I figured it was a bad amp. I unplugged everything hoping to get the sound back and i still have no sound. What could of possibly happend...

check your speaker wires for shorts to ground....make sure the amp is getting power.....the usual diagnostic procedures...

K let me try to explain myself better and get an answers to why my speakers don't work..This is how i installed my amp and subs with an IEC AULOC into my Stock headunit
First i ran the sub speaker wires into my back right speaker wires (******* move) then i ran the speaker wires from the amp that should of went to my sub into the back right speaker wire as well.
So Speaker wire from subs and the amp both went into my right rear speaker wires. I know thats not right thats the problem. I then hooked the ground nd battery wires into my battery and everything else that needs to be done nd turned my car on.. Instently the sub made a pulsing noise and sound from speakers went out. I trid to figure out y sub was pulsing didn't notice the sound from speakers were out right away.
thats when i realize that i was an idiot and that the positive nd negative speaker wires from the sub were suppose to go into the amp and the speaker wires that plug into the Red and White sockets go into the IEC AULOC. but it was to late and what happend happend nd now i have no sound coming out of my speakers..
I thought that all the speakers were possibly blown so i went out and purchased one new speaker just to test if that one world work...nd no it didn't play anysound....i am so lost on y i have no sound coming out of speaker...
i checked every fuse in my car from the passenger side of the car fuses to the fuses under the hood no fuses are blown.. the only thing i can think of is that possibly the wires got fried??? if so does that mean inorder to get sound back i need to rewire my whole car???? someone plz help!

sorry bro thats more detailed i knwo but still doesnt make sense to me. try unhooking everything you have and putting it back to like stock and see what happens. there is a good possibility if you hooked the amp up to the speakers it could have fried the deck maybe? idk try drawing out what you did

yeah man makes no sense to me either...i have already unplugged everything nd everything is back to stock nd still no sound.. i even went out and bought a new Sony Xplode cd player...but i cant get it to power up nd i have the 05 06 wire hareness, all the pins seem to be in the right place i didn't have to re pin the harness i am going to best buy tomorrow to see if they can see why the headset doesn't work...im really crossing my fingers and hopeing that once i get the new headset working that the sound will come back

to help u draw it out its
one 12" sub + - speaker wires spliced to RightRear speaker wires
Amp + - speaker wire also to RR speaker Wires
Ground and Battery cable to battery
Amp wire to Fuse box

u dont splice the sub or amp to ur 6x9 speakers the output convertor wires go to ur 6x9 speakers and then wires from ur amp to sub.

o yeah also add in the IEC AULOC
+ - right speaker wires to + - wires for the right speaker on the IEC
+ - left speaker wires to + - wires for the left speaker on the IEC
then the speaker wire cables that insert into the bottom of the IEC outlets to the amp RL speaker inlet

^^^ right....

if your cd player doesnt work check to see if the harness is gray or blue. it should be blue. otherwise you have to get acc from the fuse box

but imo it sounds like you have no idea what your doing so it might be a good idea to stop ******* with it right now and just go to a reputable place to have it fixed and hooked up

Yeah it is grey i will try that in the morning
I have installed systems before and had no problems
its just been awhile and for some i wanted to hook everything up to the right speaker..as soon as i stepped back and looked at it i was like WTF why would i do that! lol just a stupid error and it cost me
But if i fried something health what would that mean..would i have to get new speaker wires installed...or is it possible that i just fried my stock headunit nd just need to get a new one which i did
o yeah fyi i've never had so much trouble getting a headset to work in a car...first i bought a cheap wire harness which i had to re pin and still didn't work nd now i finnaly got the right one and it still isn't powerin up soo hopefully getting the acc from the fuse box will make it work

I know i hook up system wrong but i'm just wondering what i could have possibly done to the speaker wires, speakers, or headset
i replaced one speaker so i don't think the speakers r blown..possibly the 6x9s in the back
Going to work on getting the headset working tomorrow morning
Going to bestbuy also tomorrow to have them check wires nd if i cant get headset workin b4 that then have them look at that
Would it be a good idea to install the system, the correct way this time! lol, nd see if the subs are intune with the song if they are then the speaker wireing is fried and i'm the biggest ******* for doing that to my car!

Yea, you just fed 900 watts back through to your stereo...you will prob havta get a new one and you'll be lucky if u didn't fry your 900 watt amp as well. Did you have the factory sub? If so then you have the factory amp and could prob just get away with ordering another factory amp off of ebay since it does feed all of your speakers.

I really doubt you fried your wiring. Factory amps are a dime a dozen but stereos arent...
