no sound??? WTF

I just installed a new deck in my pursuit today, the radio works fine and puts out sound, but when I put in a cd I get no sound, did I mess something up? It's reading the cd. just no sound.
the deck is a eclipse cd4000 any ideas?

Are you amping all of the speakers in your car? If you are you may have used the power antena wire as your remote on, rather than the real remote on. That would cause your amps to only power on when you are using the radio but when using a CD the power antena line has no current. This would be a very easy mix up since (normally) one would be blue and the other would be blue with a white stripe.
