Opinion on Headlights

Okay, I realize that with the headlights I picked out, I am going to want the HD wiring harness. But I want to know if the increase in wattage draw and output is going to increase the light output, or just melt my headlight housings?

Whats everyones opinion? I still have my stockers in and need new lights, so I am trying to upgrade without going to HIDs because cops are pulling anything and everything over that give off a glare.

I just installed the Philips CrystalVision Xtreme on my balt yesterday.
They advertise them at 4000K output.

Makes a nice difference.
I'll post more info when I drive the car for more than 15 minutes at night.

I've had the stars before in my Jbody, I didn't notice that much of a difference. I figured with a higher input/output they would be brighter.
