Opinion Needed.

So, as some know, I sold my 08 Sport.

My set up in this car was, JL Clean Sweep running with alpine type r comps and rear speakers, alpine type r 12" powered by an alpine MRD 501, and a v power 4 ch to my fronts and rears.

I left the cleansweep in my car when I traded it in, if I had of removed it and the other amp the stereo would have been useless.

Anyways, I am just going with a simple install, line charger and my sub and amp on my factory h/u.

For people who have gone this road, how do you like it? are you satisfied with the bass etc..

The reason I am doing this is, well school is going to kick my ass next fall so I have to save up haha.

A cheaper way to get better sound in a setup like the one your talking about is to use a simpe LOC and then a line driver.
I have used this one before and it did wonders on my buddies system (his deck only had 2 volt pre outs)

For $30 your going to amazed at the difference it makes

This is what I am going to be using instead of a standard LOC.

well me and my buddy tom spent 3 hours installing her today, gotta say for just being on a LOC on juice and factory hu, it sounds pretty decent!

does anyone know what kind of voltage I can expect from my head unit? I think I may actually go with a line driver as well.

u shouldnt need a line driver... and the LOC should have been installed post factory amp not at the deck before the amp

Why not just use a line driver from the HU? Plenty of people do this all the time on other cars, and end up with pretty decent setups. Just make sure it's a GOOD line driver, like:

Emp, thank you haha.
I wasn't thinking, yes, the LOC is wired in post amp.
