Radar Detector
Beltronics RX65 PRO is an excellent detector and its affordable. Found them brand new on ebay for 250. I have the GX65. It uses gps to alert me of red light and speed cameras. Also If I get a false alarm I can mark its location so it never goes off again. But that one is like 400.
I probably dont need to remind you that Radar Detectors are not an excuse to speed recklessly. They are tools to let you know whats going on around you. Never speed around town (30mph) and dont go much faster than 10 over on the highway.

not sure if you are aware of it or not but my escort 9500ix allows me to update the software every month sent directly from escort to your e-mail with updates for each state.you can choose to update or leave as is.
I have the new cobra 9745, I like it, it picks cops up probably a mile away but hell the only time I really use it is on the freeway, but its saved my a** a few times. Most people wont recommend Cobra though.

Both made in Cincinnati!
