reallly weird problem w/interceptor

reallly weird problem w/interceptor

i followed a how to on how to hook up an interceptor and heres what i got. i spliced into the power of the stock boost gauge red to red and as soon as i plug in the interceptor into the obd2 my car goes into on mode lights on dash are lit, and my a/f gauge turns on, and the clincher is when i shut the car off with the gauge still plugged into the obd2 car stays on and running, until unplugged. im confused please help

If the only connections you've made are to the power wire on the boost gauge, and the obd2 connector, I'd say you have a bad interceptor. But I havent dealt much with those things so I could be wrong.

Rob, I have mine plugged into the OBD2 and drawing power from that. It'll stay on for like 30 seconds or a minute after I turn off the car, get out, and lock it. Then it'll go off. Have you tried just letting it chill for a minute or two?

il disconnect the red wire and see what happens, i just dont understand why i can turn the key to off and take the key out and still drive the car.

me to i keep forgetting to unplug it and the car keeps running after the key is out

If you've directly powered it then I believe you have to remove the red jumper on the back of it to let the intercepter know that the power comes from directly from wiring and not powering from the OBDII. Did you do that?

its the analog wires i took them off and just used the obd2 plug and its fine now thanks for all the help and info guys
