Remote Battery Schematic

Does anyone happen to have the schematics for the stock cobalt remote battery wiring?

I need some sort of wiring diagram that shows how the stock Cobalt is wired front to back for the battery. I would appreciate any help offered. Thanks!

mmm that would be handy but I imagine it's fairly cut and dry... doesn't the battery have a positive/negative wire that runs to the engine compartment and connects to the terminal in there?

No need for a neg in the front. :-P

and yes, battery simply runs the cable to the front, where your terminal(+) can be accessed.

I appreciate the comments guys, but you didn't answer my question...

I am still looking for a schematic of the remote battery mounting. If anyone has it, please post it up or PM it to me.

Actually, they did. You asked for a schematic of the batter system... it's simply battery to fuse box.

Battery + -----------------> Fuse box

If your looking for a schematic of the entire wiring system or even the fuse box, that's a whole different thing... and has nothing to do with the battery.

BTW, if what your asking is what that 50A fuse is for, it's the long term power for some of the electronic in the car.

Mother of god...

I asked for a schematic, how is not providing me with a schematic answering my question? If I wanted them to explain it to me, I would have asked that. I was polite before because they were trying to help, you're just being a pain in the ass. Please don't bother posting unless you can provide me with what I originally asked for.

To the other guys, I appreciate you trying to help. Just really need the schematic for a friend.

Stop being childish dude.... you don't need a schem for one frickin wire.
But since you asked.

And as an FYI, I had to make this one myself, since they don't make schematics this simple...

Okay, since you seem to want to be involved, I'll put you to work. I was asking for a schematic for the cars battery system, front to back. That includes more than just a positive wire. I want to know where every single wire comes and goes. The battery has got to recharge...

Does GM use a distribution block to join the 4 pos wires together?
Is the battery only grounded in the trunk?
How many grounds are in the engine bay?
What gauge wires do they use?

It charges on the same wire.

4 pos wires? Where are you referring to?
Grounded only once in the trunk.
Unknown number of grounds in the engine bay.... probably too many to count anyways.
I believe the use 2 ga wire to run from front to back.... but I know alot of guys switch it out if they run big systems.

AS far as all of the wires going front to back... that's alot. Considering that there are lights, the antenna (FM& XM), fuel pump, sensors, speaker wire, etc in the are behind the seats to the trunk.
Infront of the seats is a nightmare.... BCM, radio, interior fuse box, airbags, steering column, pedals, OBDII.... oh gosh... it's retarded... you'd need a schematic of the whole car.

well what your asking for sounds more like a cars wiring diagram. if you want to know about grounds in the engine bay and stuff.

Let's stick w/ the battery and charging system.

1) Big four are the alt, fuse block, starter and battery on the pos side.
2) Good to know.
3) Not as important, so don't worry about it.
4) Ground in trunk gauge?

Yeah, it kind of does...

Edubs... when we talk about 'schematics in a car, you need to specify systems.

The battery system is as simple as what I have drawn up.
Beyond that, there is the engine system, which in it has the sensor system, ignition system, fuel delivery system (involves the injectors and fuel pump... pretty straight forward).
Then there is the indicator and lighting system. The controls system. HVAC system. And many more.

So.... Are you actually asking for the entire wiring diagram for the car? Cause I don't have one... and I don't think any of us do... one of the dealership mechanics might.

4) Ground in trunk gauge?

1)I'm pretty sure that they all join under the fuse box. At the base of the boosting pin.

4)The ground in the trunk is the same as the supply.

I'm pretty sure I specified.

Needed to know more than the positive, that is where we got hung up. Thanks for the info on the ground and specifying that the charging system runs through the pos wire. All things I needed clarified...

... it's basically the same for all cars... it's just that our battery happens to be in the trunk instead of under the hood.

In this pic, ignore the voltage reg. I'm pretty sure our alternator has one internally.
