Replacing my 06 radio with an 07

I would like to replace the radio in my 06 s/c cobalt with the radion out of an 07 to get the newer look plus the ipod cable. Does anyone know if this is possible without major alterations? Is it just an unplug and plug in type of thing or what? I have asked people at two different chevy dealerships and i keep getting different answers. Please let me know what is involved if anyone knows.

it requires major alterations. only one guy has done it so far and it took him a long time to figure out. The harnesses from 06 and 07 are different, and the door chimes are built into the 07 radio and the 06 cobalt has external chimes. Definately not plug and play.
