Alright guys, heres the thing... My cuzin just bought a GM radio replacement interface with the warning chimes... its made by scosche and the model number is DCGM09...

He bought it for his suburban but left it behind when he left back to cali, so he called me up and said i could have it.

I looked on the package and it the closest car on the listing are the 2005 chevy caveliers.. Do u think that if i tinkered with the wiring a little, i could get it to connect with my 07 cobalt?

I know i know, thats a crazy idea, right? but does anybody here know how closely related the wiring harnesses are between the two cars.?

Cuz the replacement interface only has 4 wires.. ground, red (12v), yellow (constant) and a striped purple wire (probably for the speaker?).... so yeah, do any of yall think its possible or should i just post it on ebay for sale?

read the sticky.......it's a useless addon for your car, your door chimes etc. are retained in the DIC on the tachometer. Post it on ebay and hope for a sucker to buy it up off you.

 

no for 07's door chimes are lost... interms of wireing it i would def try it and see what happens...
