Supposedly one of the seven speakers in the SS S/C is a sub, who knows what size. It's a Pioneer system, which is cool.

I really think it will have a nice sounding stereo system. 7 speaker...pioneer...has to be at least decent.

think it will be anything like the GTOs stereo set up? theres somewhere like 6 speakers, 2 dash, 2 doors 2 rear, and a sub. doesnt hit like a 75$ sub but for stock its nice

I have heard mixed things regarding the possible sub-woofer.

Can someone post an article regarding the sub?

all I've heard is it is a pioneer;

expect it to be decent - better that delco crap, but not as good as what pioneer sells aftermarket.

CD/MP3 player
Seven-speaker Pioneer premium sound system with tweeters and rear subwoofer speakers
Sounds like it will be the same, or close to the same, system as is in the Scion tC. The tC has a 160 watt Pioneer system.

Thanks...

Rear Subwoofer Speaker(S). That implies two subs. I dont see how they will get a seven speaker system with 2 subs.

Lets say..... 2 tweeters, 2 subs, 3? mid range? maybe a center channel speaker.... that would rock.

no no, GM for some reason considers 6x9 "sub speakers"

Two Front speakers
Two Front Tweeters
Two Rear Speakers (6x9 most likely)
One Sub

7 speakers :-)

At least it's one sub... although it'll probably be a little 8" pinner or something.

Now that GM has our ordering system for the Cobalt up it elaborates on the options a bit. See my post in the auto news section about ordering info...

Just like any sound system, you need to hear it to judge it. I think it will be fine for crusin. How ever i think the truck will make the perfect amount of room to add whatever you want. (SUBS)

It already has a sub, of course you can replace that with more and bigger  . A system by Pioneer should be pretty damn good though, I heard good reviews on the one from the tC and it's only 160 watt (with no sub I think) compared to 228 for the Cobalt.
