Stock Cobalt sub

How much should I pay for one used? I blew mine up this summer amping it, decided FK it, took the amp back and got some 2011 Type R 6x9's...

Im happy with the sound of the setup, but now I wish I had my sub!!

How much would you guys offer for that part? Where would I look?

Going to start with asking at an insurance salvage place

Take out the blown sub and drop in a new one, and purchase a new amp

I was able to get an RE Audio SEX 10D2 for $149 and a JL Audio 500/1v2 for $250 and it pounds like a mother f'er

LICK FOR HIGH RES!

RE Audio SEX10D2 (SEX10-D2) 10" Dual 2 ohm SE-X Car Subwoofer

You COULD technically run that above sub on the stock amp, but I'm sure it probably wouldn't bump very hard!

I'm still breaking in the sub so I haven't really pushed it yet. I'd assume that the gasket material between the two halves of the box would blow out before the actual plastic would crack! That sub is DAMN heavy, I was worried it was going to rip the mount points out, or pull the studs outa the body! lol.

I'll let you know if/when it explodes
