ugh! help please!

sorry to be a pain again...
i got everything hooked up with my amp and subs but i can't get my remote wire to work, i've tested and spliced it into 2 of the wires behind the stereo and they've both cut in and out. one worked at low volume but would cut out past about 1/4 of the way up.
it can't be the amp because if i bridge the remote to the positive it works just fine...

do i possibly have a bad remote wire?
where did you guys wire yours to?

I have a question on that, Which side of the WW fuse is the fused (output) side of the fuse?

save yourself a headache and putting more stress on the electrical. get one on these mini add-a-circuit http://www.sportsimportsusa.com/miatmfua.html

it almost sounds like the Positive and Remote wires are connected backwards. Like he's trying to give it power from the Remote output of the Headunit. Double check your connections at the Amp, and What head unit do you have? (what wires are you trying to use off it?)

if hes hooking up the remote to random wires in the stock radio harness probably not. but i do see where ur going with that ss.... its hard to fully understand wtf hes talking about.

Be warned there is no acc or remote in the stock harness. you might be taping ur GM LAN wire and one mistake and your computer is fried... tread softly my friend

i got the bone stock head unit (single cd, am/fm stereo), i'm not tapping off of that. i tried the ATM add a fuse in the wiper fuse and its not working. i decided to try the AMP fuse and it did work but its a constant circuit so i can't use that.
i have the remote wire hooked up to the RMT port on the amp and the positive to the 12v...

But the fuse location should still have power, right??

I mean, this is GM, they don't have multiple harnesses for different configurations.

my 05 had a sunroof fuse but no sunroof....and it worked just fine. (although I think I used a relay in that car cause I ran some other stuff off it. But the Sunroof fuse has enough juice to turn on my amp and run the sunroof in the SS. (and the amp is OLD!)
