alright thanks, i'll give that a try first. i don't know if it matters or not but the whistle that comes through is not affected by the volume, whether up or down it still makes the noise, just with the music on its harder to hear. but if i turn the music off and turn the volume up and down the whistle stays at a constant sound (no increase or decrease in pitch or volume).

in any case i'll run that ground this weekend and let ya know. i got some 14 gauge so i'll run that.

nah not really you just want to make sure your making the connection at the HU side as good as possible (hence no butt connector) and hopefully that should do it. one last question you have a 4 channel amp? or just the sub amp?

yea i'll give that a try then and remove the butt connection and use the thicker ground to the amp ground to HU.

I have a 4 channel amp and the 500-1d sub amp. both are in the pictures. i am drawing a blank as to the number of that amp but i think it was a 250-4

meh its cool make sure to run it to your 4 chan amp then. also how high is your gain on the 4 chan and how loud do you normally go for "max" volume?

it was cold as ballz here this weekend so i just winterized the car, didn't have time to run the new ground.

however i think the gain is set at like 50 or whatever the half way point is. and i usually only have to go to 20 for "my max" volume although it goes much louder.

well when spring time comes back around run the ground and try turining the gain down on the sub and mids amps so your max volume runs more like 25-30. kenwoods normally go up to 35 volume

Yes sir, I was going to run my battery big three wiring but not run the positive to the alt yet, hook the stereo back and take readings at idol with the system full tilt, then hook the alt+ and engine ground and measure again on the same song with everything else as constant as I can keep it.

Looks nice but how does the bass get to the front? Lol.

Update, RF's up front now and Audiobahn amp, thinking of trying to run it at .5 ohm and clamp to see how it hits, still haven't ran the big three, waiting on my next paycheck to come in monday so I can get solder and a torch to do it right...

Current Setup as of today:
Head: stock
Front stage: 2004 Rockford Fosgate T1 6.5 Coaxials
Rear stage: 2009 Rockford Fosgate P Series 6x9 Quad-axial(?), Audiobahn A275CHT, (2)Skar MA-8's, Audiopipe 2-ch LOC, Stinger twisted pair RCA's, 10G Stinger/Fosgate speaker wiring inside box, 12G Q-Power wire box-amp(soon to be 10G Stinger), 4G Fosgate power, 4GStinger ground, Shuruken BT20 Battery.

Whenever I have time and solder I am going to be doing the big three in 1/0G Welding wire rated at 400A per 25 ft... Then apparently wifey got me some audio equipment for Christmas so there will be further events coming soon.

Nah, I haven't ran a 4 channel since my old Kenwood back in 06.

Are you talking about the PBR that got eaten by battery acid? That was a PBR300.1 and I sold it to my buddy for $65... well I owed him 80 and that was partial payment.

Lol, it's cool man. I plan on a new box and a mini-wall similar to yours but a bit more intricate to throw my 8's in. I am thinking 6th order, so far I have 3 versions all with the same tune model:
My explanation on FB:
Dual Skar MA-8 SPL plots on the 6th order(Purple), Ported(Green), Large sealed(thin Yellow), and Small Sealed(thick Yellow). Remember these are subs, No need to peak or even play above 70-100htz which are the strong point of the sealed setups...
Modeling:

V1:

V2:

I am not done with V3 yet, still trying to get the 28HTz side port correct. All three have viewing windows I was thinking of putting plexi in, white washing the interior with a SKAR logo and some led's but IDK what color led's to run with...

True, there is a local shop that has some 8" strips that change color to the music or you can keep it a constant color. I am thinking about them.

Pioneer has been trash for almost a decade... Their Premier series is remotely decent though.

Are you high? Kenwood sucks more wiener than a **** star at a gang bang, Alpine is debatable if you buy their good ****. Rockford Fosgate, Sundown, Skar, Rainbow, Audiobahn, MA(before they were bought by Jensen), JBL, Cerwin Vega, MB Quart, Memphis, JVC, JL, DC, Ascendent... those are some of the best names in car audio.

ZSTAT seems to be taking the SC/NC market by storm but I have no experience with them.

My current setup:
stock head
Rockford Fosgate Punch 6x9's
Rockford Fosgate Punch PBR300.1
(2) Skar Audio MA-8
Custom 1.0^ft ported enclosure @47-50htz
Stinger 10G power/speaker wire
Stinger 9G ground

Head is faded 100% rear because stock fronts are blown but I may be able to get some of these soon: Rockford Fosgate T162C 6-1/2" Power Series 2-way Car Speakers
kenwood does suck for the most part...but their excelon line of products are quite good.

Around here we don't have much access to their hu's, speakers, amps, and subs are all garbage from everything I have ever seen.
