rockfords are about as accurate as a dizzy blind man at a bukkake.

if you want accuracy, go JL or even MBQuart. apparently no one read my previous post on page 1.

i had the jl setup you're talking about. get that one in a sealed box and put 250-300 watts RMS to it. actually, i still have the box kicking around without the sub.

BIGGER DOES NOT MEAN BETTER!!!!

ive never seen an advantage of poly fill
spray on rubberizer inside the box works good tho

Bigger is always better....

I'm running an 18" just for fun. I got a blown Stroker 15" that needs repair. Once fixed, I'm building a box and running that. Should be nice....

Why does nobody use Infinity Kappa Perfect 10s or 12s anymore, are they still available, those were sweet?

if you want a good single sub that can pound get a JL 500/1 and a JL W6v2-d4(W6) also depending on what type of music you listen to will determine if you should get a sealed or a ported box, if you like the long drawn out bass sounds that are in rap music get a ported box. And if you like rock and the kick drum bass then get it sealed. Kicker are aweful speakers along with rockford, sorry guys JL owns the sub category.

i dont know what u guys are talking about but rockford fosgates suck. why do u think they sell them at best buy. hmm i wonder audiobahns are knowning for blowing. but alpines and jls are great. good subs.

hey cartoys, before i have my alpine type Rs, i had infinity perfects and they were amazing. the clearity with thoser subs beats any type of subs, but it could hit harder.

Also the sub the jl that i have handles 300 watts rms. The alpine amp that i have purchased putts out 400 watts in 2 ohm load which my sub will be wired to. Do you think this will be okay for my sub if i have the gain turned only a quater of the way?
