Yes i searched. Ipod issues

I have an 07LT coupe and am having a heck of a time finding the right cord that will connect my ipod to the stock head unit aux input. the cord i need is a male/female cord, male to go into the ipod and female to go into the aux input. However, all the cords i can find are just male/male. Where are you guys finding the correct cords to connect your ipod to the stock aux input? any help would be greatly appreciated.

make sure when you get the wire that to see two black lines on the tip. hence it will be stereo sound. if you get one with only one ring on the tip, it will be mono sound. if worst comes to worst, try going to the parts department of your dealership.

soooooo, this thread is back from the dead. after finally getting tired of talk radio (election season over) i go back to listening to my ipod and realize that the whole issue with it was that it was a male/male cord, but the tip broke off into the aux port. i feel dumb that i never thought about that, oops.

so now that raises a new question, how the hell do i get the tip out? its the very end of the plug in, after the second black line. any (serious) suggestions would be great

You need a male/male, not male female.

Tweezers??? But if your feelin froggy you could remove the unit and then remove the face plate. Never done it but im sure there has to be a way to remove the face of the deck to get to the snapped off peice?

Magnet might do it, not too sure. Some needle nose pliers might do the trick. Be carefull around your head unit though with the pliers.

how far in is the metal piece?

Is any of the tip sticking out of the Head Unit? if you could get some small pliers or something to grip the metal to pull it out. I would think that there would be a way to get this out. I will do some searching.

unfortunately no. the tip is all the way back in the input. i have tried sticking some of those small straws into the port with rubber cement on the inside to hopefully bond to the tip and pull it out when dry. but no luck.

would it be worth taking the head unit out of the dash temporarily to get to it, or would that not help either?
