dont get to cocky with that turbo kit or you will learn like venom aka me! i had 2001 cavalier
2.2 ecotec with auto i got that auto traceptor to smooth shifts i got a turbo kit off of cavalierconnection.com custom motor/tranny mounts light weight flex plate aka flywheel for autos, new axles ported head with cams, and adjustable cam gears bottom end was'nt ported or anything i was pushing 400 hp for a week until my tranny went 75 % down the track running a 12.9 ! i then got new tranny off ebay and turned boost down then i was slower than the redline so i parked her and now i got the redline

JUST BE CARFUL i spent 8 to 10,000 dollars in engine mods on cavy for them to become a waste of time and effort cuz i played need for speed undergorund to many times and wanted to be faster that a skyline i was for a week

IPT is a perfomance transmission shop in New Jersey. I have other posts telling this story, but just to reiterate...

My powertrain is being upgraded with new internals. When its out, the trans goes in for a bulletproofing to IPT. When I'm done, the engine will be able to safely handle 650 HP and the trans 400ft/lbs of torque.

I've done my homework and research. All will be fine. See you in my rear view.

 

alright, I joined this forum the day I bought my LS. I planned a bunch of visual mods for this summer. AVS headlight covers, tints, 18" wheels, eibach sport kit. These are about done and my optional projects, Rk sport kit and a new exhaust just might be in the works. I will hopefully post some pics tomorrow after my tints and a good wash are done. (black car). I put the rims on friday and have already got all the homies checkin out the ride, not the attention I want but, what can u do. I think when the springs finally ship it will look alot better, I ordered them way earlier than the rims anticipating the need for a drop but still no ship date in sight.

All right I've went on long enough for my first post. Just wanted to let halfcent know I like what he's done so far, I might be ordering that kit tonight just based on your pics.



O yea, don't worry SS guys, I wish I had your ride, just couldn't wait, impatient as hell. And that kind of power would be trouble in my hands. They'd find me wrapped around a tree the first night.

hmm i almost bought the rk kit but now after reading all the issues you had with yours im not sure i want it now? also if you dont mind where did you take it to have painted and installed and what did they charge you?
