a question for you guys would you be interested in a group buy? i am sure i can talk to the moderators and see if we can get Alpine to get a group buy going...i "SMP" am not affiliated in any way with Alpine so if i was to buy a kit i would pay retail like anyone else but i am going to the shop tomorrow to see if i can get some prices worked out like i did for the ion guys on another forum?
So i am throwing the idea out there pm me if you guys would be interested and save you guys money...again i am no part, shape, or form part of alpine but hell i will be over there B.S.ing with them so why not pop the question on them hope they say yes :P
Edit: moderator, please pm me if i am out of line, i am trying to help you guys out you know

The SMT-6 is the exact thing PSI FI and Rev-It-Up used. The attached file is how they tuned it. Since the companies are out of business, this is fair game.

Yeah thats the same as the rev it up. I have seen that used on another cobalt 2.2 with a turbo. It's tough to get rid of the CEL's when you using a piggy back.
Did Alphine tune it for you ? What sensors is it hooked in to?

Hey guys i am going down there today, and just for fun i ran him with my girls ION 2.2L with CAI and yeah i got stomped bad...!
Also I outlined the compressor housing to show there is distance between the fire wall the turbo....there has to be or you would not be able to mount the turbo on the manifold...and it is not even close to be honest i mean long term there will be no problems at all
Also the SMT-6 sells a user package that allows you to tune your own stuff and if you do go with this kit i would just ask them how much for the cable and software and if you want to tune it then that gives you access! Also the light on the dash is not much of a concern as coming out of the boost the stock O2 sensor is not keeping up and is giving a lean code at idle but if you keep out of the boost the stock 02 catches up and goes away or drops the lean code as it does not see any issue...but Duane was beating the hell out of the car last night and she held together like a champ!
As for emissions i believe (my opinion) you should be fine as they are not going to be doing WOT passes and no codes should pop up and all the emissions component's are still intact even the breather for the valve cover recycles back into the turbo system so there should be no issues whats so ever!
my guess is Duanes car should have no problem running stock SS/SC's and Redlines and modded SS/SC and Redlines it could be a good race, remember it dyno'd here in denver at 212fwhp at boise it might be a bit higher!
oh and more vids to come for sure! post away on questions as i pretty much can answer most of them
