My buddy has a 256 no et for sale and Im thinking about getting it, I've heard good things about it but if anyone knows any cons ofthis turbo feel free to speak up . But also I have k&n SRI and injen upper charge pipe would it fit to my set up or do I need to mod anything else?

s256 does not fit the stock exhaust manifold so you will need one of those, and it does not fit the stock downpipe either since its a non twinscroll turbo IIRC. other then that its a good turbo and will get you 450+ whp.

The 256 non et isn't the turbo I would recommend for your lnf. It is very surge prone on the LSJ although it's better on the LNF, it's not much. It will make over 300 np but there are so many better turbos suited for you car. Also, the resale on that turbo will not be good by the time you want to sell it. I would run the ext256 on your LNF. The exhaust wheel in the 256 non et is a little big. The LNF likes the smaller exh wheel and a little bit more exhaust gas temp.

maybe that's what i was thinking of. that it's more of just an entry level turbo for someone on a budget. but i could have sworn that i read it doesn't make too much power. maybe i just got confused and read a difference in flow not power.

O.P. It's a bad choice for your car even when your getting a deal. The ext256 will support 500whp with the correct set up and spool faster. Spend the money once.

Ryan is right. The turbos are not worth very much, and the ET will spool quite a bit faster and produce quite a bit more power for not the much more money. The 256et is a great turbo that makes alot of power for its small size.

Ivs heard alot about the 256's surging. I know when the non et does it zzp tells them to switch to the extended tips and the people report back that it seems to be fixed so idk. Matt would know more how to get rid of it on the lsj. They've done just about everything with them cars lol
