thanks for your help jimbo its better but not all the way fixed... im thinking im going to have to ditch the factory bpv and run an hks ssqv or something else. ive got little list of things to change today but stretching the spring on the bpv helped a BUNCH. it will get up to 0 release then cruise between 10-15 # of vacuum.

glad it helped man. with a custom setup like this you will spend some time working out the bugs and reconfiguring things. be patient, learn from it and have fun.

btw are you going to get the recirc kit for hks ssqv? if not and your going atmospheric, go with the tial bov.

allready have a tial flange welded to my charge pipe so it makes it that much easier for m to switch to a recirc.......i also have my own tig welder

ok im back again... i think stretching the spring helped but cant really tell. when i shift and accelerate again im almost instantly in boost. BUT, if i let off the throttle it will blow off the pressure then be just fine. the highway it seems better but im still hitting boost

So when you accelerate you build boost? Welcome to how boost is made. Engine load goes up, so does boost.

I think you're expecting this to act to much like a larger turbo. When I had my CA18 240, it would spool very fast. Small taps of gas would bring it easily up to 5 psi.

Boost a video of what it's doing if possible.

I think your missing the point.

Lowering compression would just lower power.

wouldnt that also slow down the air leaving? im also kicking around the idea of having the turbo ported... and putting the snorkel back on the intake and stretching the bpv spring more and moving my boost gauge source i think its reading wrong... it will say 5psi of boost but you cant feel any difference in it and n/a

Boost gauge needs to reference off of the manifold.

Porting exhaust side would certainly slow down spool times. Not a huge amount but it could help.

BOV springs are designed to open after a certain amount of vacuum is reached to pull the diaphragm. Stretching could cause compressor surge. What BOV and spring are you running?

This would be easier if HPT supported you so we could see your logs. I think what your describing is a normal thing.
