Boost Bypass Mod Review.

Boost Bypass Mod Review.
First off I want to say, I did a extensive research, and never really found any long term results. So I decided I would just try it. I took the back rubber line off of the bypass, as instructed. Plugged it off, and started driving. At first drive, I noticed a easier take off, there was a little more power in there. I noticed on certain cooler evenings, I could get 2 more psi then before. It was all cool until today. It had been roughly 5 weeks. I hadn't really done much long freeway driving. I drove about 40 miles. About 30 miles in the car jerked and felt like it was cutting out. About every 2 miles until I reached my destination it would do this. My first thought was fuel filter, or O2 sensor. I had to make a 20 mile trip tonight and it was not getting any better. I made it about 1/4 of my way home, when I jerked really hard. I was at the point, of calling a tow truck. I stopped to grab some dinner, so I thought Maybe it is the boost bypass mod. I plugged it back in, grabbed dinner and headed home. For the next 15 miles home, it ran perfect. It did not jerk once. I will be driving it more tomorrow, so if any else changes I will update.
Here is the cliff notes:
Is it worth doing it? Yes for short trips, Mexico or The Drag Strip.
Did my mpg go down? No it got better.
How was day to day. As long as I was just in the city, It ran perfect and did for the most part of my short freeway sprints.
At the end, I was getting a 1200 rpm normal idle. It should be around 800. give or take.
Would I recommend it? No, especially not long term.
I hope this finally clears up this old question.
Also I hope this is in the right section.
