charge pipe/wastegate help.

alright guys, last night i had a second encounter blowing a couple off my cold side.. thought i blew it up lol. call me retarded but is there a better way i could route this? right now its 2 "L" pipes one cut on both ends.. i always get a boost leak at the IC because it cant fully close (i think) pics:

also, i am on the k04 turbo.. how do i adjust the wastegate down. i spike 15 psi.. i have a boost controller so if i get it low enough i can turn it up. thanks!

Thats how I have the pipes routed on my lsj with the k04, I only have 2 couplers on the cold side. Just the wastegate should run 5 psi. Also you need to either have the maf after the BOV or recirculate it back in before the MAF.

its basically the elbow from the injen(or whoever he had) and cold air intake that feeds under the passanger headlight and he connected his post-intercooler piping to it.

Pull those charge pipes off and have someone weld small beads around the edge. We did that on my brothers truck 50 psi and its not blowing off so you should have no problems. Or just get the clamps tighter. Go till they break then back off a little haha

Go get the cheapest ghettoest super extra hold hair spray and spray it on the couplers and pipe, connect pipe and let it sit for a bit. Crank boost up and enjoy!

IF that doesn't work, but it should lol, Get some good hump couplers like the one to the far right of the pic.
Some dick never bolted the IC to my car and i found out why real quick when i bolted it up. With the engine movement my pipes would blow off cause the IC wouldn't move with the engine anymore.
The hump coupler will allow a lot of movement and the rings stop it from bulging and blowing off with pressure.
